LPA off Mindanao to develop into tropical depression – Pagasa

The low pressure area (LPA) off Mindanao is likely to intensify into a tropical depression within the day, the state weather bureau said on Friday.

The LPA was last spotted at the vicinity of Motong, Zamboanga del Norte, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.

Caraga, Northern Mindanao, Zamboanga Peninsula, Visayas, and Palawan are anticipated to have cloudy skies with scattered to widespread rains and thunderstorms.

FEATURED STORIES

Bicol region, the rest of Mindanao and the provinces of Mindoro, Marinduque, and Romblon are expected to have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms, according to Pagasa.

Meanwhile, the regions of Ilocos, Cordillera, and Cagayan Valley would experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the northeast monsoon.

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon, on the other hand, would have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers based on the weather bulleting of Pagasa.  /kga
