AFP launches offensive attack vs BIFF in Maguindanao
The military launched airstrikes and ground operations against ISIS-inspired Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters (BIFF) in Maguindao early Wednesday.
The air and artillery fire mission was launched at about 4 a.m. in the villages of Meta Datu Unsay and Timbangan in Shariff Aguak, said Captain Alvin Encinas, spokesperson of the Army’s 6th Infantry Division.
Ground troops are still conducting clearing operations as of this posting.

Encinas said they could not determine the number of fighters in the area.
The military has also conducted a series of airstrikes and ground operations in North Cotabato last week as part of their offensives against the BIFF. /kga
