Parts of Mindanao will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms this Wednesday due to the trough of a low pressure area (LPA).
The regions of Davao and Soccsksargen are affected by the LPA extension, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.
The LPA was spotted 1,100 kilometers east of Mindanao, outside the Philippine area of responsibility.
Weather forecaster Samuel Duran said the LPA was expected to enter PAR within the day.
Meanwhile, the northeast monsoon (amihan) continues to affect parts of Northern Luzon, Pagasa said.
The regions of Ilocos, Cordillera and Cagayan Valley will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rain, Pagasa said.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers. /cbb
