Myanmar to accept returnees from Bangladesh five times a week

Plans are underway to accept returnees from Bangladesh to Rakhine State. Authorities will relocate IDPs who will come back to Rakhine State via land route at the Taungpyoletwe Township, Maungdaw and those returnees coming back by sea route will be accommodated in Ngakhura village.

As for Health and Sports Ministry, they already planned to draw the project to provide health care services for returnees from Bangladesh by opening temporarily clinic and forming mobile teams.

The respective departments will be carrying out verification process to issue National Verification Cards and National Identity Cards (biometric).

Likewise, the ministry of health and sports will be providing health care services and management process. Government will provide one-day accommodation for returnees at the camps in Taungpyoletwe and Ngakhura villages. Moreover, food and accommodation will be provided for returnees.

On the following day, the refugees will be sent to Dargyisar village from the camps where the IDPs will be living temporarily.Meanwhile, health ministry also will be giving health care services to returnees in Taungpyoletwe, Ngakhura and Dargyisar villages of Maungdaw Township.
