CITY OF CALAPAN – Classes in all levels in public and private schools were suspended Thursday as Tropical Depression “Salome” poured rains over south Luzon.

All boat trips from Calapan port were also suspended due to the inclement weather by City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office in an advisory.

Calapan Mayor Arnan Panaligan advised residents to be ready for the possibility of heavy rains and flooding after the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) hoisted public storm signal number 1 over the Occidental and Oriental Mindoro provinces. /je
