The United States Embassy in Manila will be closed on Friday in observance of an American holiday, its Information Office said on Thursday.
“The United States Embassy in the Philippines and affiliated offices will be closed to the public on Friday, November 10, in observance of Veterans Day, an American holiday,” the Embassy said in a statement.
Its offices will resume regular services on Monday, November 13.
According to the US Embassy, Veterans Day is celebrated annually in the US on November 11, the day that major hostilities of World War I formally ended with the signing of the Armistice at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month of 1918. /kga
