Upsilon Sigma Phi marks 100th anniversary with rock and jazz concert

The Upsilon Sigma Phi will kick off its 100th anniversary on Friday with a rock and jazz concert for all fellows.

The event will be staged at the Green Sun Hotel in Makati at at 6:00 p.m, hosted by the fraternity’s Batch 92 as part of its 25th year in the fraternity.

Legendary rock band The Dawn and jazz group Kapamu will perform at the occasion. Dinner and drinks would be served, Upsilon said in a statement on Wednesday.

The fraternity was established in the University of the Philippines in November 1918 and has chapters only in the Diliman and Los Baños campuses.

“The oldest existing Greek-letter society in Asia, the fraternity enters its centennial having contributed to nation-building with a generous share of leaders in government, the sciences and the arts,” it said. –Pathricia Ann V. Roxas /atm
