According to the Department of Health, majority of the 200 confirmed cases of influenza recorded from January to September this year were from the National Capital Region.
A total of 79 cases of influenza were reported in the region, up 19.7 percent compared to the 66 cases recorded during the same period last year.
The Cordillera Administrative Region posted the second-highest number of cases this year with 44 confirmed cases, while Bicol region ranked third with 33 cases. —Marielle Medina
