MANILA, Philippines—Jose Miguel “Mike” Arroyo said Tuesday he and his wife, former President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, will leave the country as soon as possible and will try to get tickets as early as within the day.
He said they will be accompanied by a nurse and two aides.
Arroyo made the pronouncement shortly after the Supreme Court issued a temporary restraining order against a Department of Justice watch list order that barred him and his wife from traveling abroad to seek medical treatment for her bone ailment.
