Did You Know: November is National Children’s Month

National Children’s Month is observed every November by virtue of Republic Act No. 10661 signed on May 29, 2015 by then President Benigno Aquino III.

The declaration commemorates the adoption of the Convention on the Rights of the Child by the United Nations General Assembly on Nov. 20, 1989.

The Department of Social Welfare and Development, National Youth Commission, and Council for the Welfare of Children are tasked to implement activities. —Marielle Medina
