MANILA, Philippines — The whole country will experience mostly cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms and widespread rains due to a low pressure area northeast of Surigao City, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophyical and Astronomical Services Administration said Tuesday.

The LPA, 95 kilometers northeast of Surigao City, is expected to greatly affect  Eastern Luzon, Eastern Visayas and Western Mindanao, prompting Pagasa to warn against flashfloods and landslides.
