A low pressure area (LPA) embedded along the intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ) will dampen Palawan and Mindanao, the weather bureau said Monday.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said the LPA was last tracked at 625 km East of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur.
Due to the ITCZ, Pagasa said the regions of CARAGA, Davao and SOCCSKSARGEN will experience cloudy skies with scattered rain and thunderstorms.
While the northeast monsoon (amihan) will affect Northern Luzon, Aurora province will experience cloudy skies with scattered rain and thunderstorms due to wind convergence.
The regions of Cagayan Valley, Ilocos and Cordillera will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rain also due to amihan.
Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with possible isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms, Pagasa added. /cbb
