Anticipating a heavy increase in the volume of travelers as All Saints’ Day approaches, the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (Caap) has assured that measures are in place for safe, reliable and convenient operations at all 39 airports in the country.
The Caap started implementing its “Oplan Undas 2017” on Friday.
“The Caap is also prepared for the influx of passengers … We want to make sure that traveling will be as hassle-free as possible as we observe the solemnity of the occasion,” Caap Director General Jim Sysiongco said on Saturday.
Under the plan, coordination has been made with airlines for the efficient processing of passengers, especially at check-in counters, the Caap said.
Additional airline personnel will be deployed as needed to accommodate the increase in travelers, the Caap said.
Check-in counters will open two hours before departure of domestic flights and three hours before departure of international flights.
Counters will close 45 minutes before departure.
