/ 07:38 AM November 15, 2011

SECURITY Bank is set to open three more branches in Cebu next year.

One of the banks’s branches will be at the Cebu Doctors’ Hospital.

“In Cebu, we are eyeing to open a branch in Cebu Doctors’ Hospital because we have learned that the area has already been slowly vacated by the doctors who used to occupy clinics there. We were told that it will be opened for commercial establishments and we are very interested,” said Albert Solon Villarosa, Security Bank president and chief executive officer.

“We have applied for 50 branches within the formerly eight restricted areas within Metro Manila and we are also looking at ten to 15 more Security Banks to open outside of that area. We are also looking at expanding Premier bank by opening three to five more branches next year,” Villarosa said.

At present, Security Bank has five branches in Cebu including Cebu Business Park, Cebu-Banilad, Cebu-Juan Luna, Tipolo-Mandaue City, and Mandaue North Road. Reporter Aileen Garcia–Yap
