3 dead, 2 kids saved at Bulacan dam

SAN FERNANDO CITY, Pampanga – Three persons, among them a young boy, drowned in a dam in Bulacan province, a belated report from the Armed Forces’ Northern Luzon Command (Nolcom) showed on Wednesday.

Army soldiers, however, managed to rescue two children from Bustos Dam in Barangay Cainging in San Rafael town.

The soldiers, led by TSgt. Michael Alejandro, found the remains of Jonas Federis, 17; Renalyn Campano, 28; and her son Daniel, 5, according to Lt. Col. Isagani Nato, Nolcom public information officer.

Meanwhile, troopers from the 48th Infantry Battalion were able to save Avegail Campano and Princess Bacay, both 8, after the soldiers were asked to help with the search.

Initial reports indicated that the victims went swimming at the dam before noon last October 23.
