Motorists who will be visiting or passing by Manila via Roxas Boulevard were advised to find alternative routes as two simultaneous fun run events are scheduled to take place this weekend, the Manila District Traffic Enforcement Unit (MDTEU) announced Friday.

Traffic officials said Roxas Boulevard will be closed to motorists as the long bay view stretch will be utilized as run run routes on Saturday and Sunday.

The Philippine Red Cross will hold on Saturday a fun run dubbed as “Million Volunteer Run 4,” which will necessitate the closure of the southbound lane of Roxas Boulevard from Katigbak Drive to Pres. Quirino Avenue starting 4 a.m., the MDTEU said in a statement.

Those traveling the westbound lane of P. Burgos Ave., must turn right to Bonifacio Drive or make a U-turn to the eastbound lane of P. Burgos Avenue.
