Did You Know: Metro Manila has 14.4% of dengue cases

Metro Manila accounted for 14.4 percent or 11,244 dengue cases out of the 76,391 cases reported nationwide from Jan. 1 to Sept. 2 this year, according to the Department of Health (DOH).

This was an increase of 29.2 percent from 8,705 cases recorded during the same period in 2016.

The National Capital Region also recorded the highest number of cases nationwide in the latest report, followed by Central Luzon with 13.8 percent or 10,570 cases and Calabarzon with 9,380 cases.

Latest data from the DOH also showed 68 recorded deaths due to the mosquito-borne disease in Metro Manila from Jan. 1 to Sept. 2 this year.
