Motorists traversing Manila this coming Sunday should plan their routes ahead as several roads will be closed due to a fun run, the Manila District Traffic Enforcement Unit (MTDEU) announced on Friday.
In a traffic advisory, the MTDEU said the southbound lane of Roxas Boulevard from Katigbak Drive to P. Ocampo St. would be closed at 3 a.m. to 5 a.m. due to the Amway Health Run.
The MTDEU advised that all vehicles coming from Bonifacio Drive shall turn left to P. Burgos Avenue; and those coming from three Manila bridges—Jones, McArthur, and Quezon—should go straight to Taft Avenue.
The MTDEU asked motorists traveling westbound lane of P. Burgos Avenue to turn right to Bonifacio Drive or make a U-turn to the eastbound lane of P. Burgos Avenue to point of destination.
The advisory also said that all vehicles taking the westbound lane of TM Kalaw Street, going to Roxas Boulevard, should turn left to MH del Pilar Street while those traveling the westbound lane of UN Avenue going to Roxas Boulevard should turn left to MH del Pilar Street, or take the Roxas Boulevard service road.
Additionally, the MTDEU directed all motorists traversing the westbound lane of President Quirino Avenue to turn left to Adriatico Street while those using the westbound lane of P. Ocampo Street should turn left to F.B. Harrison to point of destination.
Those going to and from Manila Ocean Park, H20 Hotel, and Manila Hotel should utilize Katigbak Drive as access road, the MTDEU advisory added. /kga
