MANILA, Philippines–Two more suspects implicated in the murder of Ramgen Bautista have surrendered to the Paranaque City Police early Monday morning, according to a top police official.
Senior Supt. Billy Beltran, the Paranaque police chief said that the suspects Glaiza Vista and her boyfriend Norwin dela Cruz surrendered to police at around 4 a.m.
Beltran told Radyo Inquirer that Vista and Dela Cruz were still waiting for their lawyer and will be brought to the fiscal’s office within the day.
Vista and Dela Cruz, along with Revilla’s younger brother Ramon Joseph and sister Ma. Ramona, have been named in the charge sheet as among the principal suspects in the killing of Bautista, a son of former Sen. Ramon Revilla Sr. and a half-brother of Sen. Ramon “Bong” Revilla and Bacoor Mayor Strike Revilla.
Beltran also said Vista and Dela Cruz sought the help of “media friends,” who turned them over to police for secure custody. He said the two claimed receiving death threats and decided to surrender fearing for their lives.
He said that the two have not spoken about their participation in the crime nor about the death threats they received.
