RESIDENTS of sitios Climaco and Paglaum in barangay Bulacao can hope for better water service.
The Metropolitan Cebu Water District (MCWD) started accepting applications for water service connection from residents in these areas last week.
The two sitios were among the areas where MCWD services were suspended for lack of water supply.
But assistant general manager for pipelines maintenance Noel Dalena revealed that recently, they have finished laying pipes in these areas. The pipes were interconnected to the main lines last Tuesday.
These areas are being served by a private water service provider but residents complained that their water supply is not enough.
Now that MCWD will be serving them, they are assured of steady supply of potable water.
MCWD conducts an orientation for new water service connection applicants at 9 a.m. every Wednesday and Saturday at the main office on Lapu-Lapu and Magallanes Streets, Cebu City.
The water district also opened another collection center in Hypermarket J Mall along A.S. Fortuna Street, Mandaue City. The center is open everyday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. starting Oct. 14
