Metro Manila and nearby areas are getting heavy rains on Thursday, with the state weather bureau raising the yellow rainfall warning in these places.
Light to moderate with occasional heavy rains with possible flooding will be experienced in Metro Manila, Rizal, Bulacan, Bataan, Laguna, Cavite, Quezon and Batangas in the next three hours according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).
Parts of Luzon meanwhile will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to a low pressure area (LPA).
The weather disturbance will affect Ilocos region, Cordillera, Cagayan Valley and Aurora, Pagasa said.
The LPA was last observed at the vicinity of Natonin, Mountain Province.
Coastal waters in Northern and Central Luzon will be moderate to rough, while it will be slight to moderate over the rest of the country. /idl
