Most parts of the country will experience rain due to a low pressure area (LPA) and the intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ), the state weather bureau said Wednesday.
The Cordillera Administrative Region, Cagayan Valley and the provinces of Ilocos and Aurora will have cloudy skies with scattered rain or thunderstorms, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.
The LPA was last observed 420 kilometers east of Casiguran, Aurora.
Weather forecaster Chris Perez said the LPA was not likely to intensify into a tropical cyclone on Wednesday but advised the public to monitor for developments in the next two to three days.
The ITCZ will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain or thunderstorms over Western and Central Visayas, the Zamboanga Peninsula and Palawan.
The rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies apart from isolated rainshowers mostly in the afternoon or evening, Pagasa said.
Coastal waters throughout Northern Luzon will be moderate to rough, while it will be slight to moderate over the rest of the country. /cbb
