Ubial’s trips questioned

Health Secretary Paulyn Ubial found herself defending on Tuesday the numerous foreign trips and her alleged big entourage that included her family, during confirmation hearing on her appointment as head of the Department of Health.

Ubial’s confirmation hearing though was suspended for next week, the last week of session of Congress as it goes on recess on Oct. 12.

Senate Majority Leader Vicente Sotto III said that if Ubial’s confirmation hearing does not conclude next week, she would be deemed bypassed for the third time. —Christine O. Avendaño
