Two Metro Rail Transit 3 (MRT-3) trains have again broken down on Friday morning, prompting the unloading of passengers during rush hour.
According to an MRT-3 service report, a train suffered a technical glitch at 6:28 a.m. and offloaded passengers at the GMA-Kamuning southbound station.
The incident brought down the available running trains to 17 as of 7 a.m. instead of the usual 20 during peak hours.
More than an hour later, another train bogged down and unloaded passengers at the Shaw southbound station at 7:34 a.m.
The management has apologized for the inconvenience.
Technical glitches and broken trains have become almost a daily occurrence in the MRT-3. Just this week, MRT-3 trains have broken down and offloaded passengers 12 times, seven of which occurred during the morning rush hour. /idl
