Isabela town engineer shot dead

SANTIAGO CITY — The municipal engineer of Jones town in Isabela province was shot and killed on Tuesday by one of two men on a motorcycle as he was about to board his car here, police said.

Johnny Lazaro had left a cockfight arena when he was shot in the eye, according to Senior Insp. Jose Cabaddu, station chief of the Santiago police.
