Monsoon to bring rains across PH

The southwest monsoon or ‘hanging habagat’ will bring rains to most parts of the country this Wednesday, the state weather bureau said.

Specifically, Southern Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao will be affected by the said southwest monsoon.

The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said cloudy skies with light to moderate rain showers and thunderstorms are expected over Visayas, Mindanao, Ilocos region, Cordillera, Mimaropa, Batanes, and Babuyan Group of Islands.

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will have partly cloudy to at times cloudy skies apart from isolated rain showers mostly in the afternoon or evening, it added.

Weather forecaster Chris Perez said no weather disturbance is expected in the next three days.

Pagasa also said that Northern and Central Luzon will have moderate to occasionally rough coastal waters, while coastal waters in Southern Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao will be slight to moderate.    /kga
