ITCZ to bring cloudy skies, rains to Southern Mindanao — Pagasa

/ 11:06 AM September 17, 2017

Southern Mindanao will experience cloudy skies, rain showers and thunderstorms on Sunday due an intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ), the state weather bureau said in its early morning forecast.

The weather system will specifically affect Zamboanga Peninsula, SOCSKSARGEN, ARMM and Davao Region, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country, meanwhile, will experience partly cloudy to at times cloudy skies, apart from isolated rain showers mostly in the afternoon or evening due to localized thunderstorms.

A thunderstorm is more likely to develop over the National Capital Region, Central Luzon and CALABARZON areas within the next 12 hours, Pagasa said in its 10:00 a.m. update. /je
