MANILA, Philippines – A shallow low pressure area was seen off Davao City, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said Thursday. In its weather forecast, Pagasa said the LPA was seen 940 kilometers east of Davao City.

Visayas and Mindanao will have mostly cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms. Meanwhile, the rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to at times cloudy skies with isolated light rains.

“Moderate to strong winds blowing from the northeast will prevail over Luzon and its coastal waters will be moderate to rough. Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate blowing from the northeast to north with slight to moderate seas,” the state-run weather bureau said.
