3 drug suspects killed in Bulacan shootout

CITY OF MALOLOS –Three drug suspects were killed in a shootout with the police on Monday.

Carlo Calano, who used the alias “Bondat”; Allan Cruz, who was also called “Wanbol”; and Fernando Cervantes fought undercover police men during a drug bust at 1:20 a.m. along Diversion Road in Sto. Cristo village here, said Supt. Heryl Bruno, Malolos police chief.

Bruno said the three men were under surveillance after being listed in the local drug watch list.

The suspects were reportedly armed with an improvised shotgun and two revolvers. They possessed numerous sachets of varying sizes containing what police believe to be shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride), and packets and a purse containing what may be marijuana.

Police also recovered a playing card casing that contained 16 more small sachets of suspected shabu. je
