No lead yet on Ali Peek shooting
Police are hopeful they will have a break soon in the shooting of Talk ‘N Text cager Ali Peek in Mandaluyong City.
Senior Supt. Armando Bolalin, chief of police, told the Inquirer that a follow-up operation somewhere in the province yielded information that could help investigators move forward in the case.
Bolalin, however, said the information would still have to be verified by the other witnesses. He refused to elaborate.
“We will know by next week if (we have a break or not),” Bolalin said.
He said that while many people had come forward following TNT owner Manny Pangilinan’s announcement of a P500,000 reward for the arrest of Peek’s gunman, the information they provided would still have to be screened to avoid any “pranks” or “false leads.”
