Drainage project for Lapu under way
THE Camella drainage project for Lapu-Lapu City is under way.
Camella donated over P20 million for the drainage project patterned after the city’s comprehensive drainage plan.
The drainage systems planning, digging and installation of pipes will cover the 4.5-km stretch from the General Aviation road to the Mactan circumferential road.
The project will benefit the residents of barangays Pajac, Maribago, Mactan, Basak, Cagodoy, Bankal and Buaya.
Once in place, the drainage system will help prevent flooding in the area and will effectively manage the island’s water outflow.
This comprehensive drainage system is a joint project between Camella and the Lapu-Lapu City local government.
