A car suddenly burst into flames along Commonwealth Avenue in Quezon City on Monday morning, Radyo Inquirer reported.
Reports said a black Chrysler Wagon with plate number JND 88 burned after a spark under the vehicle while traversing the eastbound lane of Commonwealth Avenue, Old Balara, at about 7 a.m.
Radyo Inquirer reported that the driver Romy Baldivicio was on his way to Fairview when fellow motorists signaled that smoke was coming out of the back of his car.
Baldivicio immediately parked on the side of the road and saw sparks under his car.
Firemen from the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) responded to the scene and said an electrical problem possibly caused the fire, Radyo Inquirer said.
Radyo Inquirer tweeted a video showing the totally burnt and damaged vehicle. CBB
