A magnitude 4.0 earthquake jolted Davao del Sur on Thursday early morning.
In a bulletin issued at 9:25 a.m, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) reported that the quake happened at 1:31 a.m. located 27 kilometers north of Santa Cruz, Davao Del Sur.
Phivolcs said the earthquake had a depth of 5 kilometers and was tectonic in nature.
The quake was felt at intensity 4 in Santa Cruz and Hagonoy, Davao Del Sur and in Davao City. It was also felt from Sulop and Digos City, Davao Del Sur at intensities 3 and 2, respectively.
No damage and aftershocks were expected, according to Phivolcs. JPV
