ZAMBOANGA CITY – Seven persons, including four members of the Abu Sayyaf Group, were killed in a clash in Barangay Bud Bunga in Talipao, Sulu on Tuesday afternoon.
Brig. Gen. Cirilito Sobejana, commander of Joint Task Group Sulu, said the clash was between the Jul Hamidi clan and the Abu Sayyaf led by Al Arod.
Sobejana said Jul Hamidi himself was killed in the clash.
