Negros youths complete Army leadership summit

A TOTAL of 121 young Filipinos from Canlaon City, Negros Oriental and Moises Padilla town in Negros Occidental completed the four-day youth leadership summit spearheaded by the Philippine Army’s 11th Infantry Battalion.

The youth summits were held simultaneously at the two local government units from Oct. 26 to Oct. 29.

Some 65 youths participated in the summit at Jose Cardenas Memorial High School in Canlaon City, while 60 turned up at Moises Padilla Elementary School in Moises Padilla town.

During the simultaneous graduation ceremonies, the participants staged a cultural show to demonstrate what they learned from the summit with the theme “Peace and unity for progress.”

“The goal of the summit is to develop the youth into responsible members of the community,” the 11th Infantry Battalion said in its statement.
