Tiu to hold lecture at SHS-AdC Dec. 3

CELEBRITY AND BASKETBALL player Chris Tiu is expected to be the highlight of a special lecture entitled “KIDS: Keynotes on the Intelligence, Diet & Sport of your kid,” which will be held on Dec. 3 at the Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu campus.

Tiu, a former stalwart of the Ateneo Blue Eagles before starring for the Smart-Gilas RP Squad, will discuss the importance of balancing academics and sports, the highlight lecture of the event that will also feature three other well-known experts in the field of sports.

Joining Tiu is Jim Saret, the personal coach and trainer in the Biggest Loser: Pinoy Edition.

Saret, a former top-ranked junior tennis player, is also the strength and conditioning coach of the Smart Gilas Pilipinas basketball team.

Also joining them is the husband and wife pair if Eski and Belay Ripol. Eski will talk about “Getting Your Kid into Motion” while Belay’s talk will touch on “Optimal Nutrition for Optimum Performance.”

Both are involved with the Far Eastern University as strength and conditioning, and nutrition coaches. They are also part of the SPARC Sports Performance Center.

The lecture event is organized by the SHS-AdC Swimming Team in line with the school’s thrust to provide a holistic approach to sports development. Correspondent Jonas Panerio
