Suspected drug dealer killed in Pangasinan shootout

DAGUPAN CITY — A suspected drug dealer was killed Sunday night in an alleged shootout with law enforcers in Pozorrubio town in Pangasinan province.
Dodoy Esperanza was already dead when he reached the Pozorrubio Community Hospital, where he was taken after being shot at 8:30 p.m. in Barangay (village) Poblacion.

Police said Esperanza attempted to escape after realizing that he had transacted with a policeman in a drug bust.

But as he sped off in a motorcycle, Esperanza reportedly lost control and fell on the road. He then allegedly drew a handgun and opened fire at pursuing policemen.
Found in Esperanza’s pocket were two sachets of suspected shabu or methamphetamine hydrochloride. CBB
