Makati offers antidengue shots to kids

/ 05:12 AM August 28, 2017

The Makati City government has started vaccinating schoolchildren against the deadly dengue virus.

Mayor Abby Binay said that children 9 to 14 years old can get their antidengue shots either in their schools or at barangay health centers.

Dr. Bernard Sese, Makati health department chief, said the vaccine they were administrating covers all four strains of the dengue virus.

The vaccines are available in all public elementary and high schools in the city until the end of the month, he added. Dexter Cabalza
