Despite the exit of tropical storm “Jolina” (international name: Pakhar) from the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR) Saturday evening, the country will still experience isolated light to occasional heavy rains on Sunday due to the southwest monsoon or hanging habagat.
“Cloudy skies with light to moderate rains and possible occasionally heavy rains, gusty winds and lightning due to thunderstorm will be experienced over Ilocos region and the provinces of Zambales Bataan and Pampanga,” the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said in its 4:00 a.m. weather bulletin.
Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies, isolated light to occasional heavy rains, gusty winds and lightning, Pagasa said.
