Aguirre says he’ll inhibit from Kian case if Hontiveros does the same

Justice Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre II said he is willing to abide by the call of Senator Risa Hontiveros that he inhibit from the case of 17-year-old Kian Loyd delos Santos if she would also inhibit from the Senate investigation.

Hontiveros earlier called on Aguirre to inhibit from the  investigation into Kian’s death for displaying one-sided remarks and personal bias on the case.

Aguirre said Hontiveros has also shown bias by her pronouncements against President Rodrigo Duterte.

“Based on her pronouncements, the President is not doing anything right. She is biased against the President so how can she be fair,” Aguirre added.

“She should stop the drama so that she will not be called a ‘drama queen,” Aguirre said adding that “Yon ang mahirap sa kulang ang kaalaman. Bira nang bira, hindi muna inaalam ang subject (That’s the problem with short in knowledge. Consistetly attacking without knowing the subject).” JPV
