Tropical storm Jolina (international name: Pakhar) has maintained its strength on Friday, prompting the suspension of classes in northern and central parts of Luzon and cancellation of some flights.
In its 8 a.m. weather bulletin, Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said Jolina continues to move towards Isabela and Aurora, and is expected to further intensify before making landfall on Friday night.
Jolina was last spotted at 7:00 a.m. 275 kilometers east of southeast of Casiguran, Aurora.
Under the Department of Education (DepEd) guidelines, classes from pre-school to high school are automatically suspended in areas under Signal No. 2, while only pre-school classes are suspended under Signal No. 1.

- Kalinga
- Mountain Province
- Ifugao
- Ilocos Sur
- Benguet
- Abra
- Nueva Vizcaya

The Manila Internation Airport Authority (MIAA) has cancelled flights from Manila to Virac, Catanduanes and vice versa because of the bad weather.
