Radio broadcaster survives hit try in Legazpi City
LEGAZPI CITY—A radio broadcaster here survived an attempt upon his life by an unidentified assailant Thursday morning.
Carlos Sasis, a radio personality at Zagitsit News FM, was driving his car along Imelda Roces Avenue in Barangay (village) Cruzada when an unidentified gunman fired at him around 8:50 a.m., Chief Inspector Arthur Gomez, Albay police spokesperson, said. Sasis was unhurt.
In an online chat with Inquirer, Sasis said he heard four gunshots hit the rear end of his car.
He said he did not see the gunman.
Police are already investigating the incident. JPV
