Cebu Pacific cancels Dubai flight due to technical issue

Cebu Pacific Flight 5J015 Dubai-Manila scheduled to depart at 3:10 a.m. (Manila time) on Wednesday or 11:10 p.m. (Dubai time, Tuesday) was cancelled due to detected technical issue prior to flying.

A statement from Cebu Pacific issued Wednesday said affected guests will be accommodated on the next available flight scheduled to depart at 3:10 a.m. Thursday (Aug 24) or 11:10 p.m. (Aug 23, Dubai time).

The statement said Cebu Pacific will be providing affected passengers with meals, a one-way travel voucher, other necessities, and hotel accommodation, subject to visa policies of the United Arab Emirates.

Passengers who were not able to avail of hotel accommodation due to visa policies of UAE were provided access to the airport lounge.

The airline apologized for any inconvenience the situation has caused the passengers. It reiterated that the safety of passengers remains its top priority.
