A 5.1 magnitude earthquake struck Leyte Wednesday morning, according to reports by Radyo Inquirer.
The report said the quake of tectonic origin struck Albuera, Leyte, at 6:26 a.m.
The quake was felt at intensity 3 in Tacloban City and Palo town. It was also felt in Pastrana town at intensity 4 and in Ormoc City at intensity 5, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.
Phivolcs said the quake, which was tectonic in origin, could possibly be followed by aftershocks.
No one was reported injured, the reports added. ASU
