MEXICO CITY— A Mexican official said Friday that officials have lost contact with a helicopter carrying Secretary of the Interior Francisco Blake Mora.
A government official says the helicopter disappeared as Blake Mora was headed to a meeting of prosecutors in Morelos state, just outside of Mexico City.
The official couldn’t speak on the record because he was not authorized to discuss the disappearance.
The government fears there could be an accident, the official said.
The secretary of the interior is the highest ranking official in Mexico after the president.
