Revilla asks for court nod to return to dentist

Former senator Ramon Revilla Jr. has asked the Sandiganbayan’s nod for him to undergo a dental check-up and restoration of cavities even as he is detained for plunder.

Revilla filed the motion before the Sandiganbayan First Division which is hearing his plunder and graft cases over the alleged pork barrel scam.

In his motion, Revilla asked for the court’s permission for furlough from detention on Aug. 25 at 2 p.m. to undergo the dental procedures at the Gan Advanced Osseointegration Center in Makati City.

Revilla said upon the completion of his 2nd stage implant surgery, post-operation check-up, implant impression, trial implant coping, trial unglazed, and permanent installation, he is advised to return for the “routine dental check-up and restoration of cavities.”

“Accused is very much [appreciative] of this Honorable Court for kindly allowing him in his previous motions to undergo medical check-ups and treatment. While accused does not intend to abuse this Honorable Court’s liberality, accused again humbly beseeches this Honorable Court’s compassion to permit him to undergo the foregoing dental procedure,” Revilla’s motion read.
