Pio Frago, former UP exec, Inquirer opinion contributor; 78
Pio Perez Frago, former director of the University of the Philippines (UP) Personnel Office and an avid Inquirer commentary writer, died on Monday at the FEU-NRMF Hospital after battling cancer for almost a decade.
Remembering him for his cheerfulness and good-natured personality, friends and colleagues said Frago was well-loved by the the entire UP community.
His remains lie at the Parish of the Holy Sacrifice in UP Diliman, his second home, where he also finished his law degree. The interment will be on Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Serenity Memorial Garden in Novaliches, Quezon City. He leaves behind his wife Erlina and children Perlita and Carina.
