BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya — Two men were found dead in Tuao town in Cagayan on Tuesday evening, police said.

The remains of farmers Aristeo Tiburcio, 35, and Leonardo Andres, 30, were found sprawled on a grassy field in Barangay (village) Dagupan at about 6 p.m.

The police are determining if they were victims of an accident. Their motorcycle was found nearby, said PO2 Wilson Pascua, investigator on the case.

Police said the two men were drinking at a friend’s house in nearby Barangay Mambacag on Monday evening, when they rode off in the motorcycle to buy ingredients for “pulutan” (appetizer) at about 8 p.m. They did not return.

Police would not say if the bodies bore injuries that could have caused their deaths. Both victims were not in the town’s drug watch list, Pascua said. CBB
