Technical glitches stop MRT operations

(Updated; This story was originally published at 12:07 p.m.) A Metro Rail Transit (MRT 3) train stopped for the third time on Tuesday due to technical problems.

“Train unloaded passengers at Buendia Station SB (southbound) at 1:56 p.m. due to technical problem,” the MRT 3 service report said.

Earlier at 5:52 a.m. and 11:28 a.m., two southbound trains also stopped due to technical problems, and unloaded their passengers at Buendia and Kamuning stations respectively.

Meanwhile, a provisional service was implemented from North Avenue to Shaw Blvd. stations at 4:19 p.m. on Monday, also due to technical problems.
