Malacañang will submit to Congress this week the Bangsamoro Basic Law (BBL) draft, a Palace official said Monday.
“The Presidential Legislative Liaison Office will officially transmit the draft Bangsamoro Basic Law to Congress this week. We leave it to Congress to act on the matter with dispatch,” Presidential Spokesperson Ernesto Abella said in a Palace briefing.
The submission of the BBL came a month after the 21-man Bangsamoro Transition Commission (BTC) submitted its final draft of the proposed measure to President Rodrigo Duterte in Malacañang on July 17.

Abella said it would now be up to Congress to merge the submitted draft BBL to the bill filed by former president and now Pampanga Rep. Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo.
Duterte said he would certify the proposed BBL as urgent.
The BBL is the enabling measure that will implement the peace agreement signed by the government and the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) in 2014. JPV
